It would be great if I could configure templates to uncheck "Notify Immediately". It would also be really helpful if I could configure templates to select a number of "Affected Components" by default.

This feature has been added to the latest version of Statuscast. You'll find it under settings>incidents>default notifications. You can also create different templates for different components if you wish.
